Biography

I am a Melbourne based contemporary jeweller. I have studied Gold and Silversmithing at both the Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE (NMIT) and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and have over 9 years experience in making and designing jewellery. I have also been in solo and group jewellery exhibitions around Australia including the ‘Contemporary Wearables’ and ‘Buda Contemporary Australian Silver & Metalwork Exhibition’. My jewellery is currently represented and sold in Australian galleries.

My jewellery is often inspired by nature. Colour is also a regular theme in my work and is applied in a number of different ways from enamel paints to vibrant laminates that are bonded to precious metals. Some of the techniques used to create my jewellery are: pressing, doming and oxidising. I enjoy the whole process of jewellery making. Creating jewellery is a way of interpreting the things that I see and altering and manipulating them until they are my own unique objects.
